A local tie-in is the featured veteran Quentin Aanenson, a decorated fighter pilot from Luverne, Minnesota, who was familiar with the Bong. And don’t miss the Memorial Day Concert from Washington, DC, at 7pm on Sunday, May 27, also on PBS.

Our Summer Hours begin Sunday, May 20. We will be open Monday through Saturday 9am-5pm and on Sundays from noon-5pm through mid-October.

And in June…

Our Second Annual Summer Open House is planned for Wednesday, June 6, from 9am-6pm. For a measly $5, you can tour the exhibits, eat yummy hamburgers, hotdogs and other snacks, browse the Gift Shop, meet special guests, and much more. Last year’s Open House was great fun, so plan to come for lunch, bring the kids after school, or just stop in at a convenient time. Our generous sponsors for the event include Upper Lakes Foods, Bernick’s, and Super One. Proceeds will benefit the Honor Flight Northland and the Bong Education Program.
